Letter writer Michael Aguilar wrote on Feb. 19 that we should rely on the information from what he calls civilian medical sources. Perhaps he is unaware that Doctors Without Borders has withdrawn personnel from the Nasser Hospital in Gaza because it is infested with Hamas gunmen.
Does he really think that information coming from those hospitals are truthful when Hamas can kill anyone who does not follow the party line? It is no secret that Hamas does not distinguish casualties of innocent civilians, those killed by friendly fire and combatants, as will as those who happen to die of natural causes.
Aguilar as well as your other readers should remember that this war was one that was started by Hamas in the most brutal way. Hamas has been found to use hospitals, schools and United Nations facilities as well as building tunnels under residential buildings. Yet he chooses to believe them and treat Hamas as a reliable source.
