I have many fond memories of Mr. Eckels as he was an adult leader of our Boy Scout Troop 156 in Burlingame. He was also a good friend of my father, Tony Pappas (RIP 2002). I used to patrol by the house on Canyon, but I lost track of him, maybe because he moved to Arizona. I hope to see the family at some point here on the Peninsula to express my condolences. May he rest in peace.
