The San Mateo County Event Center announced Wednesday the Peninsula Special Interest Lion’s Club Stand Down event planned for Sept. 9-Sept. 11 will not take place.Â
The event had aimed to provide resources for at-risk veterans. Organizers said the event is postponed because equipment is being used for relief efforts in Texas and they will seek to hold the event at a later time.
