The luncheon takes place Monday, April 29 at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 1800 Old Bayshore Highway, Burlingame. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the luncheon and lecture run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a book signing. TIME TO SPARKLE! TREAT YOURSELF AND HELP OTHERS. MILLS-PENINSULA APRIL 29 LUNCHEON FUNDS LOCAL BREAST HEALTH PROGRAMS. A Champagne Bar and Raffle to win an $8,000 18K gold and diamond bracelet donated by Kerns Fine Jewelry of Burlingame will be part of the fun at the 12th Annual Mills-Peninsula Women’s Health Luncheon April 29. Simply purchase a glass of Champagne, donated by Mollie Stone’s Markets, and you are entered to win. (Only 300 glasses will be sold at $50 each.) And there’s more…each luncheon guest receives a steel pavé crystal bangle bracelet donated by Christensen & Rafferty Fine Jewelry of San Mateo, long time event supporters who are also donating turquoise resin bracelets to be raffled off at each table. All proceeds benefit Mills-Peninsula’s Women’s Center along with the Breast Health Program, which serves women in San Mateo County. Last year’s luncheon raised more than $400,000, which funded nursing education and other services in the Women’s Health Center, including free mammograms and continuing care for the uninsured and underserved women in the community.
The event is expected to draw a capacity crowd of 1,000 attendees. Limited tickets are still available for $150 each.
