Virginia Marie Ficken passed away February 7, 2001 at the age of 76.
She was the mother of Sandra Dubois of Half Moon Bay, David Ficken of Eureka and Raymond Ficken of San Mateo; grandmother of Angela Shafer, Tom Dubois and Marcus Ficken; great-grandmother of Tammy and Jake; sister-in-law of Gloria Howe of Fairfield and Grace Burke of San Francisco.
A long time resident of San Mateo, Virginia was an avid bingo player and attended Martin Luther King Seniors.
A vigil service will be held Friday, February 9, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at O'Connell's Chapel, 1311 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo. Committal prayers and interment will be at Skylawn Memorial Park, Hwy 92 at Skyline Blvd., San Mateo on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Contributions to Hanna Boys Center, P.O. Box 100, Sonoma, CA 95476-9989 are preferred.<
