Burlingame 0, St. Ignatius 0
Both Burlingame and St. Ignatius had their chances but neither team could finish as they finished in a scoreless draw in a non-league soccer matchup Saturday morning at Burlingame.
"In the words of the S.I. coach, 'It was a typical Burlingame-S.I. battle,'" said Burlingame coach Phillip De Rosa.
Both teams had several opportunities to score goals in the evenly contested game but both goalkeepers came up with big saves to keep the game scoreless.
"(Burlingame goalkeeper) Blythe Davis was outstanding in the goal," De Rosa said. "She saved a few."
The tie was the last non-league game for Burlingame (6-1-4) before the Panthers get back to Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division play on Tuesday when they take on Menlo School.
