Burlingame 3, Aragon 1
The Panthers (7-3 PAL Bay, 23-6 overall) overcame a Game 1 hiccup to win at home 21-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-15 against Aragon (4-6, 14-16). Reiter Madden and Lucas Stuart paced Burlingame with 11 kills apiece, and Cole Ng was credited with 36 assists. With the win, the Panthers maintains control of second place in the PAL Bay, one game ahead of third-place San Mateo and two games in front of fourth-place Carlmont. With two games left to play in the regular season, Burlingame closes with both San Mateo and Carlmont on the schedule next week.
Carlmont 3, Hillsdale 0
Jonathan Edwards totaled 11 kills to lead the Scots (5-4 PAL Bay, 19-15 overall) to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-21 sweep on their home court against Hillsdale (3-8, 11-16). The win keeps fourth-place Carlmont’s chances of climbing the PAL Bay ladder with three games remaining in the regular season. The Scots currently trail third-place San Mateo by one game in the standings, with the two set for a May 9 showdown.

Sequoia (7-0 PAL Ocean, 17-10 overall) maintains control of first place in the PAL Ocean Division with a 19-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-18 win at rival Woodside (1-5, 1-5). Woodside was paced by Finn Creighton’s 26 kills.
Jefferson (4-4 PAL Ocean, 6-13 overall) earned a 25-12, 25-16, 26-24 sweep on its home court against Capuchino (0-7, 1-9). Sedrick Pamituan paced the Grizzlies with nine kills, Mario Coello scored eight aces, and Sonic Tieu recorded 13 digs.
El Camino (6-1 PAL Ocean, 8-9 overall) earned a four-set rivalry win 25-13, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18 at South City (3-4, 7-12).

Senior midfielder Dominique Neville totaled four goals two assists to lead the Lady Knights (9-2 WBAL Foothill Division, 10-6 overall) past Priory (0-9, 2-10) in San Mateo. With the win, Hillsdale secures second place in the WBAL Skyline Division, two games ahead of third-place Burlingame with one regular-season game to go. Kellyn Murphy, Leah Kumar and Hayley Maravillas added two goals apiece for the Knights.
Aragon 12, Drew 2
Eight different players scored for the Lady Dons (2-8 WBAL Alpine, 3-10 overall), who snapped an eight-game losing streak at Drew-SF. Seniors Layla Adle, Georgia Bayley and Isabella Lew scored two goals apiece for Hillsdale, while Kiera Chiu, Audrey Castiglia, Elena Adractas, Phoebe Harger and Sarina Jain each got into the scoring column as well.

Sacred Heart Prep (8-1 WBAL Foothill, 16-1 overall) cruised to a 19-3 win at Menlo-Atherton (1-8, 6-11). The Gators now wrap up their regular season with a big rematch at rival St. Ignatius, Friday, at 5:30 p.m. SHP fell to S.I. earlier in the year 14-13 overtime thriller.

The Bears (6-8 PAL Bay) got crucial wins in the boys’ matches to earn the win at San Mateo (3-11). No. 1 boys’ single Nathan Fowler scored a 21-9, 21-15 sweep, while No. 1 boys’ doubles Burke Montague and Jackie Trevor rolled 21-14, 21-15. San Mateo earned wins from No. 1 girls’ single Surbhi Saksh 21-11, 21-8; No. 1 girls’ doubles Alex Young and Zoe Lin 21-15, 22-20; and No.1 mixed doubles Akshay Ganapathi and Roxie Cruanes 21-19, 21-16.
