Caitlin Clark scores 22 points in return from 1-game absence as Fever beat Valkyries 90-82

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Caitlin Clark had 22 points and nine assists in her return after missing a game with a back injury, Aliyah Boston had 20 points and 16 rebounds, and the Indiana Fever beat the Golden State Valkyries 90-82 on Friday night for their third straight win.
Clark made four 3-pointers. Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points for Indiana (4-2), going 11 for 11 from the foul line. Sophie Cunningham had 11 points off the bench.
Reserves Tiffany Hayes (19 points) and Kaitlyn Chen (18 points) led the Valkyries (3-2). Veronica Burton added 17 points and Kayla Thornton had 10.
Golden State was coming off an 87-70 win at New York on Thursday in which it held the Liberty 20 points below their average.
Indiana had a 10-point lead with 2 1/2 minutes to go. Golden State cut the deficit in four before the Fever closed it out at the foul line.
Golden State, down one after one quarter, started the second quarter with an 11-2 run and took a 44-37 lead at the half.

Indiana went 6 of 9 from the 3-point line and 19 of 26 from the foul line in the second half. In the first half, the Fever were 4 of 17 from distance and 3 of 3 from the foul line.
