As a retired attorney, with a 40-year legal career with the federal government, where I was regional director of the San Francisco Office of the NLRB for 24 years and its regional attorney, second in command, as well as a published co-author of three books, I have carefully evaluated all of the candidates for Foster City Council.
Based on my professional experience in civil law enforcement and my research and analytical skills in my authorship career, I endorse and view as the most qualified candidate for election Phoebe Shin Venkat. In addition to attending the candidate events, reviewing her website and campaign materials, I have had a number of private conversations with her. I am so impressed with her vision for Foster City, as well as her intelligence, analytical and verbal and writing skills, that if I were working today, and an investigative position was open in my office, I would hire her.
Simply put, if elected as a member of City Council, her agenda for Foster City, if enacted, would rank Foster City as one of the most beautiful, safest and well managed cities in America. Many publications do rank cities in this category and niche.com ranks Foster City as an A+ overall. However, the city is facing a deficit for the first time. Phoebe’s plans to balance the budget are impressive, as well her other program ideas and concepts. I urge all to cast your vote for this most impressive candidate for City Council.
