Bruce Gerald Heathcote

Resident of Sacramento & Burlingame

Beloved husband of Patricia Heathcote for 53 years, caring brother of Kirk Heathcote and Teri King and brother in law to Michael Chapman. Devoted father to daughter Christine Vella, son in law William Vella, grandson Anthony Vella, his wife Katelyn Vella and great grandson Ayden Vella, grandson Nick Vella and his wife Jessica Vella, daughter Vikki Philp son in law Ken Philp and grandsons Tyler Philp and Austin Philp, son Gerald Heathcote, daughter in law Mandi Heathcote and grandsons Thomas Heathcote and Daniel Heathcote. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Heathcote and mother Geraldine Heathcote.

Bruce touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit and loving ways. He was born in San Mateo, California; went to Mills High School, Millbrae, and College of San Mateo. Bruce was also in the Army and honorably served his country from 1962-1968. He raised his family in Burlingame, before moving to Sacramento. He worked in Real Estate as a Real Estate Broker and Property Manager for his company, Mid Peninsula Management. Bruce was a very hard and dedicated worker and took his work very seriously. He also enjoyed relaxing at his home in Clearlake, boating with the family, fishing, golfing and reading a good mystery novel and many special times at Disneyland and Hawaii.

Family & friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday June 23, 2017 to celebrate Bruce's life. Visitation will be from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at the Crosby - N. Gray & Co. Funeral Home, 2 Park Road, Burlingame, CA 94010, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am at Our Lady of Angels Church, 1721 Hillside Blvd., Burlingame, CA 94010. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA 94024.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) in memory of Bruce Heathcote.
