With the filing period officially closed, including extensions allowed for certain districts, school board seats across the county are up for grabs, with many uncontested, this upcoming November election.

At the county level, four seats on the County Board of Education will be considered by voters. Incumbent Trustee Hugo Torres of Area 7 is the only uncontested race. In Area 4, incumbent Chelsea Bonini will defend her seat against educator and science writer Priya Hays. Mike O’Neill is running for Area 5 trustee seat against Maurice Goodman. Patricia Love will face Ester Adut, an attorney, for the County Board of Education Area 6 trustee seat.
