Menlo-Atherton 8, Sequoia 7, 8 innings
After the Ravens scored once in the bottom of the sixth to send the game into extra innings, the Bears responded with four runs in the top of the eighth and then had to weather a three-run bottom of the eighth from Sequoia to secure the Bay Division win.
M-A (6-1 PAL Bay, 14-6 overall) scored two runs in both the first and second innings. Sequoia (3-4, 9-8) responded with a run in the bottom of the second and two more in the third before tying the score at 4-all in the bottom of the sixth.
Jack Molise clubbed a grand slam to lead the offense for the Bears, who also got a no-decision on the mound, giving up three runs on seven hits in four innings of work. Tyler Rosenthal got the win with 1 1/3 innings of relief as five pitchers saw time on the mound.
Palo Alto 7, Hillsdale 6, 8 inning
The Knights scored two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game and then scored in the top of the eighth, but the Vikings rallied for the walk-off win in the bottom of the eighth to take the non-league victory.
Paly (6-11) took a 3-1 lead after the first inning and added another run in the second. But single runs in the fourth and fifth got Hillsdale (9-7) back into the game before tying in the seventh.
Jonathan Chong, Kurt Schaffer, Jake Belloni and Engel Vivas all drove in a run for the Knights.
Softball
Design Tech 18, Luis Valdez 2
The Dragons scored seven in the first and put up a 10-spot in the second on their way to the three-inning, mercy-rule win over the Lions.
Jenevea Fletcher had a big game for Design Tech (3-0 PSAL, 6-5 overall0, going 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Ella Lewis drove in three runs for the Dragons, while Felton Jane added a pair of RBIs.
Sonia Teismann got the win, allowing one earned run on two hit.

Carlmont 197, Aragon 240

The Scots rebounded from their first team loss of the season to Burlingame by beating the Dons at Poplar Creek Golf Course in San Mateo.
Luke Chainey and Veer Bahl both shot sub-40 rounds on the nine-hole, par 35 course, with Chainey earning low-round honors with a 2-over 37. No Scot shot higher than a 41. Bahl finished with a 4-over 39, Allister Jackson and Benjamin Brown both carded 40s, while Keegan Marlatt and Martin Chen finished with 41s.
Aragon was led by Ben Torrerio, who finished with a 6-over 41. Isaac Paynter came in with a 46 and Brian Sato had a 48 for the Dons.
Boys’ volleyball
El Camino 3, Jefferson 0
Setter Adam Cajuguiran helped lead the Colts to the 25-17, 25-12, 25-11 sweep of the Grizzlies.
Cajuguiran pumped out 36 assists in the victory for El Camino (4-1 PAL Ocean). Tyler Lin had a team-high 11 kills for the Colts, while Kai Ohtake added eight.
Jefferson falls to 1-4 in Ocean play and 3-13 overall.
Menlo-Atherton 3, Mills 0
The Bears swept the Viking 25-17, 25-10, 25-23.
Ben Warner finished with a match-high 13 kills to lead M-A (8-1 PAL Bay, 23-6 overall). Peter Chriss added 10 kills to go along with 16 assists. Coen Chou added 18 assists for the Bears, as well.
Mills falls to 2-8 in division play and 2-13 overall.
Boys’ tennis
Mills 7, Westmoor 0
The Vikings capped an undefeated Ocean Division season with the sweep of the Rams in a makeup of match that rained out March 27.
Aien Hsiao, playing at No. 1 single, and No. 3 singles Neel Ranji both won their matches at love for Mills (12-0 PAL Ocean). Victor Li, playing at No. 4 singles, lost only one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win, while the No. 2 doubles team of Samuel Hwang and Simon Post won 6-1, 6-1.
