The Central County Fire Department and the Burlingame Neighborhood Network are hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Coffee Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the firehouse at 799 California Drive in Burlingame.
The event is open to the public and will recognize neighborhood leaders, CERTs and ham radio operators who led the Citywide Emergency Drill last October.
It will feature coffee and pastries and a brief presentation by Mayor Donna Colson, as well as firehouse tours and a free prize drawing.
It’s a great opportunity to meet others in our city who are interested in building community resilience and get acquainted with local firefighters.
CERT volunteers who don’t have a CERT card with their photo on it can get one made at this event.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome. RSVPs are requested by May 17 to info@burlingamenetwork.org.
