NEW YORK (AP) — Radio host Howard Stern has returned to SiriusXM. The 71-year-old tapped Andy Cohen to pretend Monday to be a fill-in host before taking over his show. In joining the company in 2006, Stern became one of the highest-paid personalities in broadcasting and gave a massive boost to the nascent satellite radio business. The stunt comes after weeks of promos promised a big reveal following swirling speculation that his show would be canceled. SiriusXM in the years after Stern joined has become home to top podcasts like “Call Her Daddy” and “SmartLess.” But its subscriber base has been slowly contracting.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett says “violence or threats of violence” against judges shouldn’t be the cost of public service. But in an interview at the court with The Associated Press about her new book, “Listening to the Law,” Barrett was not willing to join other judges who've called on President Donald Trump to tone down rhetoric demonizing judges. Along with other justices, Barrett said she's received death threats following the court’s decision in 2022 that overturned Roe v. Wade’s right to an abortion. At 53, Barrett is the youngest member of the court. Barrett says she wrote the book to make the nation’s highest court accessible to non-lawyers.
'SNL' wins big for season 50 at the Creative Arts Emmys. Obama, Kimmel and Lamar also take trophies
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kendrick Lamar and Barack Obama were both winners at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Lamar won for music direction of his Super Bowl halftime show, while Obama won for documentary narration for the third time. Neither attended the event. “Saturday Night Live” was the night's biggest winner with 11 awards for its 50th season. HBO's “Pee-wee as Himself” won four awards, posthumously honoring its star Paul Reubens. Other winners included Beyoncé, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, and Alan Cumming. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting received the TV Academy's the Governors Award.
Actor Emily Osment is single as her divorce from musician Jack Farina becomes official
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actor Emily Osment is divorced and single. A judge’s order dissolving the marriage of Osment and musician Jack Anthony Farina took effect Monday. The two had been married for less than five months when Osment filed for divorce in March. They have no children. It was the first marriage for Osment, the 33-year-old younger sister of actor Haley Joel Osment. She came to fame for playing the title character’s best friend on the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” from 2006 to 2011. She subsequently starred in the sitcoms “Young & Hungry” and “Young Sheldon” and currently appears on “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.”
Rick Davies, lead singer of Supertramp, dies at 81

LONDON (AP) — Rick Davies, the lead singer and co-founder of British band Supertramp, has died at 81 after a long battle with cancer. The band said he died Saturday after battling multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, for more than a decade. Davies co-wrote the band’s music with Roger Hodgson. The group said he was “the voice and pianist behind Supertramp’s most iconic songs, leaving an indelible mark on rock music history." The band’s 1979 album “Breakfast in America” topped charts in the United States and Canada, won two Grammys and sold over 18 million copies.

Harry has had limited contact with his father and brother since moving to California in 2020.
