MELBA'S KITCHEN Big Band at PACIFICA PERFORMANCES

Downbeat magazine calls MELBA’S KITCHEN big band “…a crackling 14-piece all-woman unit…” and they’re about to make their Pacifica debut. They promise a highly swinging concert and dance on Saturday night, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. at Pacifica Performances -  Mildred Owens Concert Hall (1220A Linda Mr Blvd, Pacifica).  Fabulous pianist DEE SPENCER is the special guest for this event. MELBA’S KITCHEN celebrates the music of Black women musical geniuses Melba Liston, Mary Lou Williams and their friends. 

MELBA’S KITCHEN has appeared at SFJAZZ Miner Auditorium, the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, San Francisco’s de Young Museum, and multiple times at YOSHI’S Oakland and Berkeley’s Freight and Salvage.  They’ve headlined at the National Women’s Music Festival and Vallejo’s Mare Island Festival.
