The Burlingame Neighborhood Network (BNN) invites you to join Community Emergency Response (CERT) members, neighborhood volunteers and others to learn what to do when there’s a gas or electrical hazard. This program will be held on Wednesday, January 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Maple Room at the Burlingame Community Center, 850 Burlingame Ave. in Burlingame.
Frank Fraone, a public safety specialist with PG&E, will explain topics including:
· How to identify utility hazards and risks
· How to recognize an emergency
· The National Pipeline Mapping System
· Do’s and don’ts at the scene
· Making contact with energized sources
· Secondary ignition sources
