San Mateo High School is proud to present Les Misérables, based on Victor Hugo’s landmark novel about social change and political revolution in 19th‑century France. Boublil and Schönberg’s musical is a powerful exploration of justice, transformation, and redemption.

One of the world’s most celebrated musicals, Les Misérables has been seen by more than 50 million people in 38 countries and translated into 21 languages. It tells the enthralling story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption — a timeless testament to the resilience of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables features beloved songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home,” “One Day More,” and many more.
