A short film by multi–Emmy Award-winning producer Steven Lawrence, featuring Alo Sebir @alosebir - a Mavericks World Record Contender for the Big Wave Challenge 2025 Entry - will precede our feature presentation, Chasing Mavericks.

Joining us is Kathleen Courtney (@kc.in.ptown)Producer of Chasing Mavericks. A local herself, Kathleen will share behind-the-scenes stories about producing the film, which was shot across #Pacifica, #HalfMoonBay, and #SantaCruz, and brought together many local #filmmakers and #surfers.

When young Jay Moriarity discovers that the mythic Mavericks surf break, one of the biggest waves on Earth, exists just miles from his Santa Cruz home, he enlists the help of local legend Frosty Hesson to train him to survive it.
