This presentation will explore the prevalent use of over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements in older adults, highlighting the associated risks like adverse effects, drug interactions, and polypharmacy, and emphasizing the importance of comprehensive medication reviews.


Stephanie Dizon, Pharm.D., BCPS, is currently the Director of Pharmacy at Sequoia Hospital. Having graduated from UCSF School of Pharmacy and completed a residency at Stanford Hospital, she has over 20 years of experience in hospital pharmacy. She currently resides in San Jose with her husband and three school-aged children. 

This program is provided in collaboration with Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital and Friends of the Belmont Library.
