Pause and take a deep breath, relax and enjoy. That’s the mantra at Pausa Restaurant in downtown San Mateo.
Owners Steve Ugur and partner executive Chef Andrea Giuliani have created one of the most innovative and eccletic Italian restaurants in the entire Bay Area. The interior is modern, warm and inviting. The food is authentic and stems from Andrea’s roots growing up in Italy.
Steve is no stranger to the Peninsula Dining Scene. He had worked since a teenager at his father’s restaurants, Bogie’s, Spiedo and and now Porterhouse, all great restaurants with an emphasis on top-notch food and amazing service.
No wonder Pausa has been an acclaimed dining spot since day one.
Their Spritz hours have some of the best cocktails around and are served daily from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
