Flights restaurants of the Peninsula and South Bay is now excited to have brought on celebrity chef Kyle Kingrey to introduce an amazing new menu.
Kyle is a world class chef who worked at Lavo Las Vegas and Beauty and Essex of New York City, Hollywood and Las Vegas.
His many years as an innovative chef certainly has brought a lot of excitement to the Flights Restaurant Family.
No wonder why Flights owner Alex Hult is feeling so lucky as this new relationship now will parlay into the newly announced Flights restaurant in Las Vegas. The construction is underway and its testament to Alex and his vision on creating a truly unique dining experience.
I sat down with Chef Kyle and we discussed his landing on the Peninsula and how excited he was to be involved with such a great new restaurant concept. Being able to taste different food items prepared 3 ways gives not only a chef the creativity to execute artistically but allows his customers a variety of flavors to choose from when ordering a dish.
Kyle said some of his favorite new menu items include a truffle grilled cheese, and a exquisite meatball with marinara. I had the pleasure of ordering the truffle grilled cheese which turned out to be the best grilled cheese I had ever had. Chef prepares the dish by cooking down the truffles, with Gouda, American ,White Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses. The mixture becomes a rich puree which then is placed on the bread and then grilled.
I highly recommend this dish for any afternoon lunch.
Flights small-plates-meets-comfort-food eatery is a proven winner here on the Peninsula in Burlingame and also in Los Altos, Mountain View,Campbell and soon to be, Las Vegas.
