About the event

CityTrees leads regular planting events from October through April to increase the urban canopy in Redwood City. Planting during these months gives the young trees the best chance to mature and thrive. We often plant 20-30 trees per planting day so please plan for a full morning of volunteering!

What will volunteers do?

Gain hands-on planting experience as you help fellow volunteers plant 15-gallon sized trees along city streets and at Redwood City schools. Training is provided on the day of the event.

What will volunteers need to bring or wear?

Please bring a water bottle, dress in layers (rain and sun protection, as necessary) and wear closed toe shoes that can get dirty. We hope you are well on the day of the event, but if you are sick we invite you to join us next time!

Additional Requirements
Signed forms

Volunteers will be asked to fill out a liability waiver for the 2025-26 planting season before participating.
