LG Live RWC is an artist-focused concert series, held on the middle Fridays of every month, and hosted at Redwood City plant/gift shop and cafe Little Green A Plant Bar (named after the Joni Mitchell song, in case you were wondering). Set in a lush, plant-filled café with high ceilings, the series has hosted over 50 concerts and countless local music artists since January 2023. Many new works have debuted here over the last two years, and both artists and audiences alike have enjoyed the cafe's intimate and comfortable, warmly-lit setting.

These concerts are held free to the public, are for all ages, and supported thanks to donations made by audience members.

Little Green A Plant Bar's retail shop is open 30 minutes before and after concert hours.

About the artists:

Wax Moon are an acoustic vocal duo: Paul Kimball and John Blatchford. Based in the SF Bay Area. Paul cut his songwriting teeth as the leader of the cosmic country-rock band Careless Hearts. John's multi-faceted musical expertise was featured most recently in the eclectic indie folk band The Mumlers, and in indie rock band Doctor Nurse. The two got together when the drummer who played in two of their former bands asked them to sing a couple songs as a duo at his wedding – they did, and haven't stopped singing together since.

Wax Moon released their first 4-song EP "Ready or Not" in November of 2015. The second EP, the 5-song "Cool Blue Heat," came in November of 2016. Both were recorded as live in-studio performances, at Noise Root studio in San Jose, CA and mixed at the legendary Fantasy Studios (RIP) in Berkeley, CA.

Since their 2nd EP release, Wax Moon have been performing as well as writing and recording "Hello Morning", the duo's debut full-length album.

Ben Henderson is a renowned graphic artist and singer-songwriter who has charmed and enthralled San José audiences for the last 25 years with his public art, soulful performances and irresistible stage presence. His unparalleled vocals and unforgettable songwriting blend raw emotion with lyrical depth, creating performances that feel like home.

Known for his passionate delivery, Henderson’s songs resonate deeply with listeners through heartfelt storytelling and energetic live shows. With every performance, Ben continues to be a beloved figure in the San José art and music scene, inspiring new and longtime fans—along with the next generation of creators.

Singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist, Tala Newell is a soulful and introspective, 18-year-old from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for her epic choruses and powerful delivery. At the age of 10, she discovered her passion for writing original songs, inspired by pop, indie, and alternative music. She has self-produced and released several singles and her debut EP entitled Double Vision. Performing her original songs live is where she truly shines and at such an early stage in her career, her vulnerability allows her to brilliantly communicate and evoke strong emotions in her audience.
