The Neighborhood Chipper Program helps maintain defensible space by providing no-cost chipping to select neighborhoods that are vulnerable to wildfire. It is based on a “you cut, we chip” model where residents pile branches, limbs, and other woody vegetation on the curbside or designated drop-off locations when available. On the day of your community’s event, a mobile woodchipper and crew come to you!
Eligibility for Coastside San Mateo County Residents: To be eligible to participate, you must have a residential home in Coastal San Mateo County and within program boundaries. More Information can be found at: https://www.sanmateorcd.org/project/neighborhood-chipper-program/
