Romantic Reveries with Pianist Eric Lu
Eric Lu, First Prize winner of the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition, is widely regarded as one of the most compelling young pianists on the international stage. Known for his profound musical insight and poetic sensibility, Lu first captured global attention as a laureate of the 2015 Chopin International Piano Competition at just 17 years old.
Since then, he has performed at many of the world’s top concert venues, including Carnegie Hall, San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall, and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Critics consistently praise his remarkable artistry. The Guardian called his playing “a spellbinding experience,” noting his “astonishing command of keyboard tone and color.” BBC Music Magazine added that his interpretations are “in a rare class — sensitive and emotionally intuitive.”
In his debut with Steinway Society – The Bay Area, Eric Lu brings a powerful and moving program that showcases his emotional depth, tonal mastery, and elegant technique. This special evening promises to be a highlight for classical piano fans and concert-goers alike.
