As part of a season devoted to musical adventure. Maestro Eric Kujawsky continues to open our ears and minds to works that may not be familiar, but often prove to be the most surprising and rewarding discoveries.

Each piece on the program is richly melodic, a reminder that beauty in music is not confined to the well-trodden path. Our concert opens with a vibrant work by rising star composer Gabriela Ortiz, whose bold, rhythmically charged style has made her one of the most sought-after voices on the international stage.

We are also delighted to welcome back virtuoso harpist Anna Maria Mendieta, performing one of the most dazzling and technically formidable works in the harp repertoire—a true showpiece that highlights both the delicacy and the power of this remarkable instrument.

The concert concludes with Brahms’ late string quintet, heard here with a beautiful orchestral arrangement. All the melody remains intact as Mr. Klatzgow adds remarkable clarity and color. Brahms himself called this work the embryo of his “Fifth Symphony,” and you may well hear why. The warmth, depth, and nobility of Brahms’ late style shine through in every measure.
