MENLO PARK, Calif. -- The Portola Art Gallery presents "Journey" -- watercolor paintings by award-winning San Mateo artist Yvonne Newhouse. A reception for the artist will be held on Saturday, November 8, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Visitors can also meet Yvonne at the gallery on Saturday, November 1; Monday, November 10; and by appointment.

The studio works for the exhibit are from reference photos, imaginings, and personal experiences. Each painting suggests a path of imagination, emotion, or discovery -- whether through the image itself, or the title that accompanies it.

Yvonne explains: "I invite the viewer to embark on a journey through this exhibit. My hope is that each piece encourages personal reflection, allowing the viewer to see their own story within the movement, color, and atmosphere of the work."
