Peace is a verb, not a noun.  It’s more than just the absence of war or violence—it’s about building dynamic environments where people can grow, prosper, and thrive.  Sounds like Rotary, right?
Â
This 3-hour free interactive workshop will inspire and reignite your community service by introducing you to the concepts of positive peace and the many tools and resources available to build peaceful communities, neighborhoods, organizations, and other environments where people can thrive. Moderated by PDG Suzanne Bragdon of D5160 and Zone 27 Peacebuilder coordinator, Traci Perry, D5160 Peace Committee Chair, and Michelle Clein, D5150 Peace Programs coordinator, you will learn about:
Â
·       The difference between positive peace and negative peace
·       The 8-Pillars of Positive Peace and how to apply them to your community projects
·       The Rotary Positive Peace Academy and how you can become a Peacebuilder for your club and community
·       Networking with other Rotarians who have a passion for peace
