Lovefest! @ Little Green A Plant Bar
LG Live RWC is an artist-focused concert series, held on the middle Fridays of every month, and hosted at Redwood City plant/gift shop and cafe Little Green A Plant Bar (named after the Joni Mitchell song, in case you were wondering). Set in a lush, plant-filled café with high ceilings, the series has hosted over 70 concerts and countless local music artists since January 2023. Many new works have debuted here over the last two years, and both artists and audiences alike have enjoyed the cafe's intimate and comfortable, warmly-lit setting.
These concerts are held free to the public, are for all ages, and supported thanks to pay-what-you-can donations made by audience members.

About the artists:
Kira Hooks is a Bay Area based vocalist and songwriter, born in Houston, TX, and raised across The Netherlands, Nigeria, Scotland, and China. With a childhood shaped by constant movement and the complexities of being mixed-race, her music explores themes of love, identity, and belonging. After refining her craft at the LA College of Music, she embarked on a journey to Nashville (2015), then New York City (2019), eventually finding creative sanctuary in the diverse landscape of the San Francisco Bay Area (2021). From captivating audiences at venues like Rockwood Music Hall to earning acclaim from San Jose Jazz, Kira's path embodies resilience and creativity. Over the past decade, she's released two full-length albums, four EP's and numerous singles, each reflecting a myriad of influences. Alongside her solo ventures, she contributes to the local music scene as a backing vocalist and maintains a presence as a solo artist.
Singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist, Tala Newell is a soulful and introspective, 18-year-old from the San Francisco Bay Area, known for her epic choruses and powerful delivery. She has self-produced and released several singles and her debut EP entitled Double Vision. Performing her original songs live is where she truly shines and at such an early stage in her career, her vulnerability allows her to brilliantly communicate and evoke strong emotions in her audience
Karl McHugh weaves his Irish heritage into a fusion of folk and rock music that resonates with classic storytelling and contemporary arrangements. Hailing from Donegal, Ireland, and now calling the San Francisco Bay Area home, Karl draws inspiration from legendary artists like Paul Simon and CCR. His unique musical style creates an engaging and inclusive atmosphere evoking a house party singalong vibe: fun, warm, inclusive, and good for a laugh!
Bryan Ramirez, Leo (his cat) lover and classical guitarist, is based in Redwood City. He invites you along through his impressionistic point of view of music as he goes home after to dress Leo in his pajamas.
Karen Snails is a cult favorite artist from Bug City (Millbrae). Their timeless pop songs have touched the hearts of millions and they have never told a lie.
