A new school opened in August on the peninsula: Peninsula School for Boys (PSB.) It is designed to address the unique academic, developmental, and social/emotional needs of boys during their middle school years.Â
PSB will be holding an historic Ribbon-Cutting Event on October 7th, from 5:30 - 7:00 PM on campus.
PSB is located on the Notre Dame de Namur University campus in Belmont, with 14 sixth grade students, 3 full-time faculty members and a part-time Capoeria instructor. In 2022, it will grow to two grades, with sixth, seventh and eigth grades full by Fall 2023. PSB is currently accepting applications for rising 6th and 7th graders in 2022 via Ravenna.Â
Peninsula School for Boys educates boys during essential character-building years, challenging boys academically while actively addressing the gender, racial and social disparities boys see and hear everyday. With a commitment to creating a community of diverse boys who learn from, grow with, and support each other, PSB allocates at least 20% of revenue for tuition assistance.Â
