Why doesn't the council build the affordable housing FIRST AND THEN move the low-to-moderate tenants at Oxford and Davey Glen to these new low-to-moderate housing after they build them?

If Silicon Valley wants more housing, they should build it on their own campus or buy out apartments nearby.
I don't want to be taxed to pay for more housing to satisfy Silicon Valley or developers or real estate agents.

So now we are going to be taxed to create more housing for people who are moving in our area. That does not make any sense - or maybe it makes $$ sense for those that are profiting from all of this future housing construction.

San Mateo County is going to get the brunt of this because our population is over 600,000. I guess we should all move to Marin and Sonoma counties. Wish I could.

I would not support this bill - it could negatively affect our residential neighborhoods, not only the ones near the Belmont Caltrain Station but our neighborhoods in general. Write to your local elected CA representatives on how you feel:

Completely agree! Wait, if Scott Wiener's housing bill Sen Bill #50 were to pass, that bill could affect our residential neighborhoods drastically. Sen Bill #50 is an application of CASA Compact.

Thank goodness a previous wise council years ago placed Sugarloaf on the ballot to remain in open space in perpetuity!
