Grant Us Peace

Ralph Vaughan Williams’s (1872-1958) fascination with the voice was both lifelong and deeply profound. Regardless of their subject matter, his choral compositions affirm and celebrate the human experience. From the sensuous beauty of the Serenade to Music – a piece so exquisite that it caused Sergei Rachmaninoff to weep – to a powerful plea for peace in the Dona Nobis Pacem, this is a timely and timeless program.

Soli Deo Gloria, Orchestra Gloria. Derek Tam, conductor. Bethany Hill, soprano Chad Runyan, baritone
