Firefighters battled a fire at a commercial building in San Mateo early Friday morning, extinguishing the main fire in 10 minutes, fire officials said.
Flames were shooting out of the delivery doors of O’Reilly Auto Parts as firefighters arrived at the business at 400 S. Norfolk St. in the Shoreview Shopping Center around 2 a.m., according to fire officials.
Fire crews put out the main fire in 10 minutes, then completely extinguished all the smoldering contents in about an hour, fire officials said.
The main damage was in the parts storage area, according to fire officials. Thirty-six firefighters, eight engines and two ladder trucks fought the two-alarm fire.
The business was closed when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported, fire officials said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation, according to fire officials.
