BEAUTIFUL BOTANICAL ART ON VIEW AT FILOLI IN WOODSIDE THROUGH OCTOBER. The historic Filoli estate in Woodside is set in 16 acres of formal gardens surrounded by 654-acres of fields and woodlands. As is fitting, an essential part of Filoli’s mission is collecting, interpreting and preserving Botanical Art, especially botanical illustration.

FILOLI FLORILEGUIM EXHIBITION THROUGH OCT. 22. Begun in 2000, the Filoli Florilegium is an ever-growing collection that currently has more than 30 original works. The purpose of the Florilegium is to document the plant materials of Filoli within a historic perspective, using traditional methods of botanical illustration. While the artwork is created by contemporary artists, the style is classic in presentation. The Florilegium adds to the archives of historic information about Filoli and is a unique addition to the Filoli Permanent Collection. The collection is on display through Oct. 22 in the historic House’s Ballroom.
