Frank did not lose a race in the 50 or 100 free until he got to the Central Coast Section championships, where he finished a respectable fourth in the 50 (21.70) and seventh in the 100 (47.43). Both those times were faster than when he won the championship in both events at the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division finals the previous week.
During the league championships, Frank was the leading qualifier and lived up to title of the league's fastest swimmer. His time of 21.99 in the 50 final was the third-fastest time in CCS up to that point. In the 100, he set an Aragon record with a 47.64, which was the second-fastest time in the section.
"Undefeated means a lot," Frank told the Daily Journal earlier this year. "Later on, that will be something to tell my kids."
