U.S. Rep. Anna Eshoo must push for impeachment proceedings of President Trump and Attorney General William Barr. The Mueller report makes it clear that the president made many efforts to obstruct justice. Barr’s handling of the report makes it further clear that he works for only one person: Trump.
Now that the special counsel’s investigation has concluded, there will certainly be more efforts to obstruct justice, but now they will have the weight of the AG behind them. The time to act is now. Our democracy is at stake; the rule of law is at stake. Impeachment proceedings can be used judiciously to educate the public about what has transpired as well as to prevent further encroachments on the rule of law.
