Vincent Angelo Truscelli, born Jan. 27, 1925, was a proud San Francisco native and died Aug. 27, 2017.

Vince was a retired Redwood City police officer, past American Legion commander, son of Italian immigrants and a child of the Depression. He was proud to have served in the U.S Navy during World War II.

He was married to Pauline from 1946 until her passing. They loved to travel and see the world. Vince moved to Redwood City in 1957 when he was a Redwood City police officer until he retired in 1980. Vince was very committed to his community, serving in many different organizations, American Legion Post 105 and the Redwood City Senior Center to name just two. He is also the recipient of numerous awards including Citizen of the Year.

He is survived by his two daughters, Debbie Cortez (Phil) of Fremont and Judy Eckley (Greg) of Scotts Mills, Oregon, and the grandchildren he held so close to his heart: Alyssa and Taylor Eckley, as well as Daniel and Emily Cortez.

Per his request and respecting his wishes, there will be no services. Please raise a glass of cheer in his honor. “You are loved, and you will be missed.”
