Truck drivers protest against California Assembly Bill 5 in front of the offices of state Sen. Jerry Hill, D-San Mateo, and Assemblyman Kevin Mullin, D-South San Francisco, in San Mateo on Wednesday. AB 5 limits the classification of workers as independent contractors rather than employees, which these truckers say would hurt their livelihood and independence. Supporters of the bill say it will protect workers.
