A strange lesson

A resident reported that a female, who turned out to be doing her homework, was sitting inside a vehicle for five hours on Pitcairn Drive in Foster City before 7:33 p.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Foster City

Suspicious person. A person reported that a man wearing all white was going door to door claiming to be from the Department of Agriculture without credentials on the 100 block of Sandpiper Court before 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Bike theft. A person reported that his two mountain bikes, one black Cannondale and one purple Gary Fisher were stolen on Bountry Drive before 12:14 p.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Burglary. A vehicles’ pink slip was taken via a smashed passenger-side window on Rock Harbor Lane before 11:31 a.m. Monday, July 6.

Disturbance. Three to four residents were admonished for horseplay at Bay Vista Community after running around a pool and throwing furniture into it on Sea Cloud Drive before 1:44 p.m. Monday, July 6.

San Mateo

Burglary. The window of a vehicle was smashed and money was taken on the 100 block of West 25th Avenue before 9:09 a.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Burglary. A vacant house was vandalized and property was stolen on the 400 block of East Santa Inez Avenue before 12:55 p.m. Monday, July 6.

Citizen assist. A person reported that their fence had been damaged when a fight broke out on the 100 block of North Delaware Street before 6:31 p.m. Monday, July 6.

Theft. Beer was stolen by people who escaped on foot on the first block of Laurie Meadows Drive before 8:15 p.m. Monday, July 6.
