Redwood City police are investigating a shooting that left one person seriously injured in the city Sunday evening. The shooting was reported around 7:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Haven Avenue.

According to police, officers located the victim suffering from a facial gunshot wound at a 7-Eleven parking lot located at 895 Fifth Ave.

Officers determined that the victim had been shot while sitting in a car in the 900 block of Haven Avenue. The victim was transported to a hospital and is considered to be in serious condition.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his mid to upper 20s.

Police encourage anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Detective Treadway at 780-7141.
