Starting Saturday, Maverick Jack’s will set up shop next to Boardsports and the Bay Trail and near the Magic Mountain playground at Coyote Point as part of an effort to provide prepared food.
The pop-up location will serve beverages along with its classic char-grilled burgers, hot dogs and more every Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., August through October.
“We’ve been eager to offer on-site food services that complement the Bay views, sand beach and recreational facilities at Coyote Point,” Parks Director Nicholas Calderon said. “Though it took some time to make it happen, I know visitors will enjoy having a great meal from a popular local business in this spectacular location.”
Recently, San Mateo County Parks has been exploring service additions at select parks to enhance visitor experiences. Last year, weekend operation of Kiddo’s Chu Chu began in Coyote Point during the spring and summer. Next year, the 20-year-old Magic Mountain playground will undergo renovations to incorporate new, inclusive play features identified by parks users through recent surveys.
