San Mateo Councilman Joe Goethals, Deputy Mayor Maureen Freschet, Mayor Diane Papan, Councilman Eric Rodriguez and Councilman Rick Bonilla take part in a re-enactment of the city’s first council meeting as part of a series of events called September Nights on B Street to commemorate the city’s 125th anniversary. The events take place 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday evenings. Next week’s event features trivia and swing dancing, while Sept. 19 features trivia and salsa dancing. All events have outdoor dining and children’s activities.
