• The office of Assemblyman Marc Berman, D-Palo Alto, is hosting a Wildfire Town Hall where a panel of experts will explain how to better protect homes from wildfires and residents can learn about local and state wildfire response efforts. Agencies participating include Cal Fire, the California Office of Emergency Services, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services, the Santa Clara County Fire, the Woodside Fire Protection District fire marshal, Pacific Gas and Electric and the city of Portola Valley.

The meeting takes place 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 22, at Portola Valley Community Hall, 765 Portola Road, Portola Valley, CA 94028. RSVP:
