Google is selling its buildings at the Pacific Shores Center, a former Redwood City campus, that has remained unoccupied since July 2024, county records show.
Three of the Pacific Shores Center buildings located on Seaport Boulevard were already sold for $45.6 million. Agreements to sell several others were also made, county documents show.
It is too early for Redwood City to assess the impact the sale may have on property tax revenue or other future revenue generation, Communications Manager Nick Mathiowdis said. However, the city is pleased with the “continued interest in major employment property within the city,” he said.
“We look forward to working with the property owners and any future tenants to support uses that contribute to Redwood City’s economic vitality and the vibrancy of the broader community,” Mathiowdis said.
The property was sold to a hedge fund, Farallon Capital Management. There is no information on who may rent the property at this time.
Google is committed to continuing its investment in the Bay Area, spokesperson Ryan Lamont said on behalf of the company.
