An anonymous tip at 4:30 a.m. yesterday led sheriff’s deputies to a home in unincorporated Redwood City to discover a juvenile who escaped from the Camp Glenwood detention center Sunday night.
Deputies searched the residence early Thursday morning and located the suspect who was placed under arrest and booked at the San Mateo County Juvenile Probation Youth Services Center.
Four juveniles walked away from Camp Glenwood near La Honda Sunday night and three have been found.
One teen was found at his home Monday a little after 8 p.m. and a second teen was apprehended on Tuesday just after 10 a.m., said Chief Probation Officer Stuart Forrest said.
San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies conducted an extensive search of the area near Camp Glenwood on Log Cabin Road after 9 p.m. Sunday when the boys were reported missing.
Camp Glenwood is an unfenced treatment center that has had a least 40 juveniles walkaways from the site since 2006, according to a San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury report.
