Prize sunflower

Nina Taylor, 9, holds the head of a 6.8-pound sunflower she grew with her father Scott Taylor in the Parkside neighborhood of San Mateo. While the plant itself to her left was 7 feet tall, the diameter of the flower was 16.5 inches and the circumference was 4 feet 2 inches.
