PPE donation

On Wednesday, Aug. 12, nearly 170 physicians in San Mateo County received personal protective equipment in a drive-through event at the offices of the San Mateo County Medical Association. The event was part of a partnership between the California Office of Emergency Services, the California Medical Association, and the San Mateo County Medical Association to provide small and medium-sized practices in the county with free medical-grade PPE including, N95 and surgical masks, gowns, gloves, and face shields. Practices with 50 or fewer providers were eligible to receive up to a two-month supply of PPE to ensure they can reopen with proper safety precautions in place.
