Parkside Montessori School's peaceful family march

Terri Falvey, Patty Hampton and Vicki Tung, three Parkside Montessori School mothers, organized a peaceful family march June 27 that brought together 250 people. The march was an opportunity for the San Mateo community, especially the children and youth, to build solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and to end racism. Speakers included San Mateo Mayor Joe Goethals; Noelia Corzo, president of the San Mateo-Foster City School District Board of Trustees; Shara Watkins, trustee on the San Mateo-Foster City school board; Sequoia High School teacher Adili Skillin; and former Sequoia High School student Jada Herbert.
