Burlingame community center

The Senior Citizen Organization of Burlingame donated $245,000 to the Burlingame Parks and Recreation Foundation to aid construction of the city’s new community center. The donation was made through the Jenia Johnson Trust, and will be allocated toward building and furnishing the Jenia Johnson Senior Lounge. "We know Ms. Johnson would be pleased that her donation will be used to build a dedicated space for seniors in the new community center,” said organization President Duane O’Dell. The new facility, under construction at the site of the former recreation center, is slated to open next year.
