California Writers Club-SF Peninsula Branch members offer a Writers Helping Writers program at San Mateo Public Library the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

For September, the program is "Playing with poetry: Discovering Meter and Rhyme." The use of meter and rhyme is unique to poetry, two of its most powerful tools. Join Kate Adams and fellow writers to play some games with lines, stanzas, quatrains—experimenting with the building blocks of formal poetry. You will leave with your own stanza in hand. Meet in the Oak Room.
